It's some people you can just look at and know, "its something about them". You are able to look in their eyes and see their heart. Their actions are respectable, their words are words of wisdom, and their walk provides echos of the Word of God. Ask your self, "Am I one of these people?"
My studies today came from 1 Thessalonians 1. Paul was writing the church of Thessalonica. He began by giving them props on their walk with God. Paul was impressed by how when they learned of the true God, they dropped their idol Gods and started living correctly. I couldn't help but feel as though I wish Paul wrote that to me. Or perhaps if he could write me, he would write me a letter similar to that one.
1 Thessalonians 1
7 -10Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master's Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don't even have to say anything anymore—you're the message! People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom.
Can Paul write you a letter like the one he wrote Thessalonica. Would he be able to say great things about you and talk about how others rant and rave about you and your growth in the Lord. I want Paul or anyone else for that matter be able to write a letter about me, and my great works for the Lord. I want people to notice the God in me and how much I have changed. I want my life to echo God's Word. I do believe I have some ways to go, but I'm almost there. Until Next Time...
