Yesterday evening I was stuck in the airport. Anyone who has been in the airport knows how miserable that can be. Yet you are given a chance to think and reflect due to the major inactivity. Think and reflect is exactly what I did. I begin thinking about how I am and who I was. I started thinking about where I plan on going. Most times we never stop to look at where we been, where we are, and where we are going. Trust me, to do this is an enlightening experience.
I had to pat myself on the back during my reflection time. I found that I have indeed come a very long way from the person I use to be. To me that signifies growth in the correct direction. When I thought about who I was right now...I had to pause. There are some good aspects about me, however I'm just not where I believe God wants me to be right now. Its a scary thought knowing that you are not the person God wants you to be. I know that its mostly my fault and some of my actions are resistance attempts to become who God wants me to be. Are you putting up resistance attempts. Nevertheless, God has shown me where I am going to be. I am not there yet. I know in order to get there I really have to straighten up what I have going on now.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
Take time to reflect, examine, and plan. Do not wait until December 31 to come up with a plan for the next year. Do it now! Find out where you should be in life. Study and pray and ask God for guidance. He will lead you. Until next time...
