Taking Credit

One of the things that really use to bother me was how people could stand before crowds of men and take credit for all that is right. When something goes wrong, then its imperiative to mention how God is still working on them. My whole life has been full of achievements, and I don't take credit for any of it. I know without a shadow of a doubt I could not have accomplished all that I have accomplished on my own. I will not start to pretend that I can.
Do you find yourself taking full credit for what you are achieving in life? Remember that God blesses us so that we may bless others. In addition He blesses us as a way to show how powerful He is and the things He can do in a person's life. The whole mission is in vain if you stand before people and tell them about all your hard work and the long nights you stayed up working hard. You do omit the God you prayed to sunrise to sunfall. You omit the man who dried your tears when nothing seem to be going right. People need to hear the story so that they may understand the glory.

Romans 7:5-8

5 -8Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God's action in them find that God's Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn't pleased at being ignored.

The next time you are given a stage to tell your story. Please do not take credit for what God has done in your life. If you are real with your self you can openly admit nothing about what you are doing or have done could be accomplished without God.

Foot Work

Our new community project for the 1st Quarter will be "Foot Work" Our goal is to supply 50 pairs of new shoes for those searching or headed back to work. We want to supply comfortable working shoes and remind other C.O.U.sins to allow God to order their steps in His word. We need brand new or barely worn shoes to make this a success. Would you like to be involved? Click our volunteer button and let us know how you would like to get involved.
