Have you ever woke up just totally exhausted? Have you ever felt like you are just tired and really can't go on? It is the kind of tired that rest and relaxation will not get rid of. Its certain situations and circumstances that has you beat up and near lifeless. You actually are walking in the will of God, but Satan just beats up on you daily and all you can do is sigh and search for strength. If this is you, then welcome to the boat I float around in.
Mental drain is one of the worse types of exhaustion. This is because your mind is really important in making you push on. That why it is written "Keep your MIND stayed on Jesus". Your mind makes everything else work. The saying is true "Mind of Matter". Many times, Satan will attack our minds first. That is one of the most powerful weapons we have (other than our Bible). The mind is the central location of decision making, word formation, its where the ability to decide takes place. Your mind is very important. So when your mind is under attack, the exhaustion and the self doubt comes into play.
Just like you exercise your body to maintain fitness and you eat right to maintain your health, the same treatment must go into keeping your mind right. You have to continue to study the word of God, read encouraging books, surround your self with encouraging people. Set up defenses around your life to make it harder for Satan to get to you.
Isa. 27 -31Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,
or, whine, Israel, saying, "God has lost track of me.
He doesn't care what happens to me"? Don't you know anything? Haven't you been listening? God doesn't come and go. God lasts.
He's Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind.
Remember we all get tired. We can find our strength however in the Lord. Keep going! Until next time...
