There are some situations that I experience in life where I know God is testing me. It seems as though He lets certain things happen in attempt to test my fidelity to Him. God not only does that towards me, but he does that to everyone that proclaims to be a christian and a devout follower of Jesus Christ. Shelt asked me if I am ready to be famous, I told him "sure am". Then he broke it down what all came with being famous and very influential. He let me know that Jesus was famous too. He had the people that completely loved and adored him, and there was also those who would go the distance to see him fall. And if they did it to Jesus, they will do it to me.
After that being said, I had told Shelt I understood what came with it and that God knows who He will be putting to the forefront. I told him that I have a responsibility in the kingdom and that I am ready. Even though I was talking to Shelt, I know God heard me. And just to see if I am ready for all the good and the bad sides of being popular, I believe he is sending me through some test.
One thing I am learning is that through everything we experience in life, we can always count on the Lord. Everyone is not going to like you for some reason or another, but its cool. People who you thought would stick with you through it all may leave you. You still have Jesus. People might lie on you to make you look bad. You still have Jesus. God will let these things happen to you to test and see how well you understand that He is always with you and you have nothing to worry about.
If you are going through some things right now. Remember that God is always with you. No matter what it is. Yes God gives us BFF so that we can have a sort of companionship on Earth, but at the end of the day, he is with us, closer than any lover or friend. Just know that if you proclaim that you are ready to be a soldier in the army of the Lord, test will come. Ask Abraham. He was commanded to kill his son to prove his devotion to God...
Genesis 22:10-13
9 -10 They arrived at the place to which God had directed him. Abraham built an altar. He laid out the wood. Then he tied up Isaac and laid him on the wood. Abraham reached out and took the knife to kill his son.
11 Just then an angel of God called to him out of Heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!"
"Yes, I'm listening."
12 "Don't lay a hand on that boy! Don't touch him! Now I know how fearlessly you fear God; you didn't hesitate to place your son, your dear son, on the altar for me."
13 Abraham looked up. He saw a ram caught by its horns in the thicket. Abraham took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son.
