If its anyone thats battles staying in line with the word its me. The Devil has gotten smarter and has made it so that society accepts certain things-things that are clearly wrong. Slowly our society is beginning to accept homosexuality, we are glorifying killing, no one really goes above and beyond for their neighbor. Its getting to be really sad. More and more we hear songs glorifying violence and movies highlighting how great single parent homes are that we begin to loose the concept of what thus says the Lord.
Its important as Christians that we do not allow outside influences to shape our beliefs. Its important that we stay focused on God and be ready to do his will at all times. We have to be ready to stand up for Christ when the time comes. We have to continue to be those people in this world who are living correctly and is not afraid to say that the way some people live is totally wrong, but we still love you.
1Peter 1:
13 -16So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that's coming when Jesus arrives. Don't lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn't know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God's life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, "I am holy; you be holy."
Its not hard to slip back into the life you lived before becoming a Christians especially in today's society. If you continue to put God first and study his word, you will find that its easier not to back slid. Stay in line and stay focused on the Lord.
