Its no secret that the economy has messed up what we considered the future plans for our lives. We are no longer able to really plan ahead, rather day to day living has been a story shared amongst many Americans. However, the first line of defense in combating such a time as this begins with our everyday talk. Believe it or not, there is power in words. If you speak things enough, then it will come to pass. Ask your self how many times have you spoken on a topic and whatever you said came true.
Starting with your money situation. "I don't have any money, I won't be able to make my car payment". That happens to be considered negative talk. I'm sure if you say that and believe that the car payment will not get paid, it will happen that way. Nevertheless, if you utter "I have faith my car payment will get paid today," then it will happen. Speak it into existensce. I'm not telling you anything that I made up on my own. In fact read it for your self
Proverbs 18:20-21:
"A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
The scripture above is telling us just how powerful our words can be. It can speak life or death into a situation. I remember running track, and every time entered the field, I told my self I was going to win today. Every time it happen. The minute I had doubt (which was at a state meet), I feel fell all the way to third place. I remember saying to a teammate "I don't know if I can win this, these girls are good." What I wouldn't give to go back with the knowledge I have now and change that situation.
Living really requires you to be more positive. If your are walking with the Lord, then there should not be an issue with you being optimistic. The road I decided to travel is not easy, nevertheless when I make it to the top (notice I said when and not if) I will know that I did not get there on my own. God puts us in situations where we can't depend on anyone but him. If we continue to trust in his word and have faith, we will come out of this situation on top. Words have power, remember that. Until Next time...
