Reconstruction

Audio Version

One of the most important thing that happens in your walk with Jesus is establishing and maintaining a relationship with God. It is a love relationship that is needed so that He can speak to you and you understand everything He is saying. January of this year I have actually put in work into my relationship with God and it is amazing. He is closer and better than any friend I have ever had. He has never let me down, and he always keeps in 110% with me. I like that....sometimes. Since I have opened my life and allowed God to move, He has shifted somethings, taken away something, moved me out of certain situations and into new ones, softened my heart and so much more. And with all this reconstruction its left me better than I once before. Though I like my new look and my new life, I can't help but admit it wasn't easy accepting what God had for me.
I understood what He was trying to do in my life. He needed to make a new me. He needed to get rid of all those unnecessary layers and characteristics about me. He needed to remove people out my life and put some folks around me more like-minded. He needed to break me down to see that I can't do this living thing all by myself. Again, this transformation, this reconstruction was not easy and it felt very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, it was necessary to go through in order for God to be able to do with me what He wants to do with me.
My process is far from over, my question to you is has yours even begun. God wants the best for us. God wants to bless us so that we may be able to go out tell others about His goodness. However, He is not going to send just any body. He needs to send trusted workers in Christ as representatives of His teachings and the Christian faith.
I challenge you began working on your relationship with God and allow Him to reconstruct your life. Its a never ending process but it consistently makes you better than the day before.

Psalms 51 7-15
7 -15 Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean,
scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life.
Tune me in to foot-tapping songs,
set these once-broken bones to dancing.
Don't look too close for blemishes,
give me a clean bill of health.
God, make a fresh start in me,
shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.
Don't throw me out with the trash,
or fail to breathe holiness in me.
Bring me back from gray exile,
put a fresh wind in my sails!
Give me a job teaching rebels your ways
so the lost can find their way home.
Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God,
and I'll sing anthems to your life-giving ways.
Unbutton my lips, dear God;
I'll let loose with your praise.

Until Next Time
